I’m not sure that trauma leads to open-mindedness. In my experience it has a lot more to do with curiosity, a certain zest for knowledge and embracing diversity, understanding that different is good, different is not a threat, it does not undermine who we are or what we are. And, of course, understanding that, at the end of the day, there is no point in being right.
